1. Please tell us a little bit about your business/site?

In February 2007 I started a company based around the concept of selling authentic products to NYC families. We’re a grassroots company serving the city and her families. We wanted to work with local people, printers, artists and writers and perhaps most importantly, the little New Yorkers themselves in the development of a NYC brand. Right now we sell 18 neighborhood t-shirts. We are also developing a clothing line and accessories.

2. How long have you been in business?

February 2007.

3. Is your business online, or a physical location or both?

We are based in Hell’s Kitchen and online here.

4. What do you enjoy most about running your business/site?

I am passionate about NYC and children. My business enables me to celebrate both.

5. Is there a favorite product or service that you offer?

Right now we’re concentrating on our range of t-shirts. We’d like to expand the shirts to Brooklyn, Staten Island, Queens and the Bronx. Then we’d like to manufacture our city clothing line and accessories like diaper bags.

6. Anything else you would like to share about your business? Being a working Mom? Etc…

I salute working moms: all moms work. City moms inspire me in particular. They’re on the cutting edge of social evolution. NYC children tend to be uber smart, healthy, open to diversity and highly creative. Ultimately they are that way due to the choices their mothers make. I try to speak directly to parents through my products. I’d really like to hear from mothers in various neighborhoods. I’d like to create ‘hood’ stories that other moms can enjoy and benefit from, like where their infant takes classes, prefers to eat and enjoys playing at. Our city is a network of small villages. Baby Does NYC embraces that.
