Emily Van Do is the author of, “Mama Never Told Me“.
1. Please tell us a little bit about yourself?
I’m just like you. I work hard…my work happens to be outside the home. Though, contrary to what my husband says, I also do work inside the home!
When I was pregnant with my son, I heard what I perceived as inappropriate comments and questions on a daily basis. I would force a smile or pretend I was amused, but I was so annoyed inside! Throughout the entire pregnancy, I kept thinking – it can’t just be ME!
In the evening, I would eat dinner with my husband and tell him about things people would say…I would sometimes forget, so I started writing the comments in my journal.
At the end of the pregnancy, I realized I had something like 40 or 50 comments! Hence, a book was born!
It was completely by accident!
2. How long have you been in business?
Launched August 2009
3. Where are your books sold?
Right now, I am selling books on my website. However, response has been so positive that I am in talks with several national retailers! I’ll keep you posted!
4. What do you enjoy most about running your business/site?
I love connecting with other working moms…by the way, I think every mother is a working mom!
Check out the website Mama Never Told Me for more info!

I’ve gone through my own pregnancy in the last year, but my best friend just found out she was pregnant and this book sounds right up her alley!
